Hockley Valley wedding :: Alex + Travis
Today I’m excited to share Alex and Travis’s Hockley Valley wedding. For a couple that loves the outdoors and being active, they sure did pick a perfect venue in the Hockley Valley Resort. Only a 1 hour drive from Toronto, and you’re transported into a stunning valley of rolling hills, cut down the middle by the Nottawasaga river. It was such a delight to be surrounded by beautiful old cedars, maples, and oaks.
After a surprise road trip, proposal by the waterfalls and many adventures together Travis and Alex are married! They got married on the first day of Fall, with their ceremony happening just as fall arrived at 3pm. Both are very active – and spends lots of time biking and lifting weights. Because of their active lifestyles, they opted for silicon wedding bands made by Groove Life. This is perfect since it allows them to still work out with them on and not wreck their grips on the weights. It’s pretty special to see a couple to go to these lengths to ensure they never have to remove their rings.
Who says you have to follow wedding day traditions? Get ready together! I always encourage couples to do whatever feels right for you and your partner. Your wedding day passes so quickly, I think it’s so important to make sure you are spending it how you want. Alex and Travis were also lucky to spend even more of their special day together and with family and friends before the ceremony. It was so sweet to see everyone’s well wishes.
